Ö is an artistic research project done together with Vision Forum that investigates imaginaries connected to landscapes. From 2012-2014, we embarked on an odyssey aboard a ship in the Stockholm Archipelago with several artists searching for a "Bermuda triangle" which can hopefully provide an explanation for strange events happening in these inhospitable waters. The boat sets from Stockholm harbor with a crowd of passengers, including an art critic, one of the few survivors that can tell the story of the journey. The book is the art critic's account of the "möbius trip" where mermaids, cyclops, whirlwinds, mechanical ducks and strange drinks are behind strange events. No one quite returns the same from the journey.

Participating artists and curators: Egill Saebjörnsson (IS), Marcia Moraes (BR), Camila Sposati (BR), Valerio del Baglivo (IT), Andrea Hvistendahl (SE), Samon Takahashi (FR), Cecilia Castro (SE), Lillevan Recherche (IR).

Later on, Ö materialized as a floating pirate radio station outside Moderna Museet, where Mats Hjelm (SE) and Samon Takahashi 8FR) broadcasted vibrations from this trip with a special musical set that interfered with radio waves across the city.

Still today there are strange events happening in the archipelago in the form of invisible submarines, strange sea creatures, and unexplained disappearances. The Hitchhiker's Guide to Islands, published in the book may offer clues to how to solve these mysteries.
